Participated in the East versus West All-American game in Orlando. Credited with 182 pancake blocks in his career, including 87 as a senior. Team claimed the city championship and advanced to the second round of the playoffs in 2006 and was 31-11 in his three years. Named to Chicago Tribune High School Scholar-Athlete Team. Honored as the Academic Scholar of the Class of 2007. Also lettered in basketball.
