2010: : Saw action in all 14 games, serving as deep snapper on every punt, field goal and extra point for the Huskies on the season. Executed a total of 136 snaps on the year, 97 on placekicks and 39 on punts. NIU kickers made 19-of-30 field goals and 59-of-67 PATs on the season. Named NIU's Special Teams Player of the Week after serving as deep snapper for all three field goal attempts and one punt at Akron (10-2). Deep snapper for a pair of field goals, one from 51 yards, and five extra points versus Fresno State in the 2010 Humanitarian Bowl (12-18). Deep snapper for all eight extra points, two field goal attempts, two kickoffs, and two punts at Eastern Michigan (11-26). 2009: Appeared in all 13 games as a deep snapper. Hit the mark on all place kicks and punt snaps. 2008: Deep snapper appeared in all 13 games. Snapped the ball for the game-winning 30-yard field goal with 11.9 seconds left against Bowling Green (10-25), and on the 52-yard field goal in that game that tied a school record. Hiked for the game-tying 25-yard field goal that sent the Central Michigan game (11-12) into overtime. Executed snaps that helped kicker Mike Salerno hit all 34 of his PAT attempts. Recorded two tackles as a member of the punt coverage unit. Had one stop against Tennessee (10-4) and one against Ball State (11-5). 2007: Appeared in all 12 games as a long snapper on the field goal/PAT and punt units. Snapped for every field goal, PAT and punt of the year. One of 10 offensive players to play in all 12 games. High School: Ranked as nation's No. 6 long snapper in the class of 2007. Also played offensive tackle during high school. Earned coaches "Titan Award" and was a California Intercholastic Federation All-League Academic honoree as a senior. Team's Scout Player of the Year was named to C.I.F. All-League Academic squad as a junior. Team went 13-1, won conference championship and was a state finalist during his junior campaign. Member of back-to-back conference title teams during his sophomore and freshman seasons. Personal: Born Feb. 15, 1989. Son of Laurie and David Owen. Majoring in communication. Made the Huskie Scholar list with a 3.0 GPA. Plays drums and enjoys singing. Played ice hockey for three years. Admires David Binn, the long snapper for the San Diego Chargers.
