Lone returning starter on the offensive line from last year's team. 2011: Played in 12 games, including 12 starts, at left guard for the Huskies. Started the first 10 games of the season before missing the Ball State (11-15) and Eastern Michigan (11-25) games due to injury. Returned to the starting lineup against Ohio (12-2). Lone junior started alongside four seniors. Part of the offensive line that powered NIU to 476 yards of total offense per game, second in the MAC and 11th in the nation. The O-line only gave up 12 sacks in 14 games to rank 10th in the country for fewest sacks allowed. Helped NIU gain 400 yards or more of total offense in 10 games, including a season-high 710 yards versus Ball State (11-15) that ranks as the second-highest single game mark in NIU history. The Huskies ranked in the top 20 nationally in rushing offense (11th), total offense (11th), scoring offense (12th), passing efficiency (17th) and sacks allowed (10th). Offense ranked in the top five of the conference in eight different statistical categories. Led the way for Chandler Harnish's 1,379 rushing yards and Jasmin Hopkins' 956 yards on the ground. The NIU offense broke 12 single-season records, including passing yards (3,386), touchdowns (67), net yards gained (6,664) and yards per game (476). 2010: Started 10 games for the Huskies while playing in 13 contests at left guard. Started the first six games of the season before sitting out the Buffalo (10-16) game and relinquishing his starting job to Ed Jackson for the next two contests. Returned to the starting line-up for the Toledo (11-9) game and held the job for the remainder of the season. Made his first career start in the season opener at Iowa State (9-2). On the year, the Huskies averaged 450 yards of total offense a game, while its 260.4 rushing yards also topped the league and set the MAC all-time record. NIU's front five also allowed the fewest sacks in the league, with only 13 in 14 games. Member of the offensive line that paved the way for Chad Spann's career-high 223 yards rushing at Minnesota (9-25). The o-line led NIU to 520 offensive yards against Akron (10-2), 584 yards of total offense against Toledo, 281 rushing yards and 441 yards of total offense against Buffalo (10-16) and 442 at Ball State (11-20). The Huskies broke eight school single season records in 2010, including points scored (532), points per game (38.0), total offensive yards (6,300), yards per game (450.0), first downs (303) and touchdowns (65). Led Spann to become the school's 11th 1,000-yard rusher in the past 12 years. The offense tallied 646 yards, tied for the fourth-most in history, at Eastern Michigan (11-26) with 544 rushing yards, the second-highest total all-time. 2009: Made an appearance in 10 games while playing on the PAT/field goal team. Also saw some time at offensive guard. Saw action in games against Western Illinois (9-12), Western Michigan (10-3), Toledo (10-17), Miami (10-24), Akron (10-31), Eastern Michigan (11-5), Ball State (11-12), Ohio (11-21), Central Michigan (11-27), and South Florida (1-3). The Huskies' offense ranked tied for seventh in the nation in red zone offense, scoring on 44-of-47 trips inside its opponents' 20-yard line with 27 touchdowns and 17 field goals. NIU offense led the MAC and ranked 19th nationally in rushing with 195.15 yards per game, including a season-best 418 versus Eastern Michigan (11-5). Huskies allowed only 15 sacks on the year, the fewest in the league. 2008: Redshirted. High School: Named to the Topeka Capital Journal's All-State Top 11 as a senior and All-State Top 33 as a junior. Played his way onto the 2006 Kansas-Sports.com All-State first team. Was a member of the Kansas Shrine Bowl All-Star Team. Garnered all-conference honors as an offensive lineman in both his junior and senior seasons. Also played defensive tackle, compiling 46 tackles (23 solo) as a senior and 37 (21 solo) as a junior. Helped lead the Eagles to a 14-0 record and the Kansas Class 3A State Championship as a junior. Team finished as the state runner-up in his three other seasons with the program. Also started for the Silver Lake basketball team, and threw the shot put and discus.
