NIU defeats Iowa, 30-27

NIU rallied for a 30-27 victory over Iowa Saturday.

•  First Team All-MAC selection at defensive end.
• Led NIU in quarterback sacks (5) and was third in tackles for loss (6.5).
• Started all 13 games he played, missing only the Ball State game.
• Had a career-high seven tackles versus Bowling Green in the MAC Championship game.
• Made four solo tackles with a QB hurry vs. Ohio. NIU co-Defensive Player of the Week with four tackles, three hurries and half a sack vs. Western Michigan.
• Registered a sack and three solo stops at Buffalo.
• Pressured Toledo QB into a game-ending interception, and added a sack and a forced fumble vs. the Rockets.
• Posted six stops with a tackle for loss vs. Murray State.
• Totaled five tackles with a sack vs. Eastern Michigan.
• Finished his career tied for 10th on NIU’s all-time sack list with 14.
• Named to the Preseason Watch List for the Rotary Lombardi Award.


• Started all 14 games at defensive end, one of just four Huskie defenders to begin every game.
