Top 10 NCAA Sampler: Ranked No. 1 in single-season completion percentage (.706), No. 6 in 1-A single-season passing efficiency (159.45 rating), No. 6 in single-game completions (39 vs. Akron-1), No. 8 single-game passing yardage (486 yards vs. Akron-1), and No. 9 in single-game passing efficiency (261.84 rating vs. Tennessee Tech). He's a cerebral, highly intelligent quarterback. He's a good decision-maker, knows our schemes as well as anybody on the team, and is a very, very accurate passer."

Hit 11-of-22 aerials for 148 yards and one TD (40 yards) in first start vs. Southern Illinois (9-11-04). Threw for career-high 285 yards, four TDs (12, 16, 9, 42 yards), and four interceptions on 20-of-34 passes in second start vs. Independence Bowl-bound Iowa State (9-18-04).
