2011: Registered 13 tackles and a pass breakup while primarily playing on special teams in 11 games. Member of the kickoff and punt coverage units. Posted a career-best four tackles and a pass breakup against Army (9-3) where he also saw time as a reserve linebacker. Credited with three tackles against Wisconsin (9-17). Made two tackles versus both Kent State (10-8) and Toledo (11-1). Also recorded tackles against Central Michigan (10-1) and Western Michigan (10-15). Injured his shoulder late in the season and missed the last three games of the year.

2010: Did not see any game action in his first season on the football team and took a redshirt season. Earned one of NIU's work team players of the week for the Temple (10-9) game. Joined the Huskies in spring 2010 as a walk-on linebacker.

High School: Earned first team all-area and all-conference honors as a senior. Garnered first team all-conference recognition as a sophomore. Recorded 925 yards on 110 carries to average 8.4 yards per carry with 14 touchdowns during his senior season. Also caught 15 passes for 320 yards, including five touchdown grabs. Three-year varsity letterwinner was team captain his junior and senior seasons. Recognized as team's most valuable player as a senior.

Personal: Born May 13, 1991 in Blue Island, Ill. Son of Remonia Porter. A pre-physical therapy major. Admires Adrian Peterson.
