2008: Played in all 13 games at linebacker. Totaled 24 tackles, nine solo, to go with three tackles for loss, one interception and half a sack. Tallied a career-high six stops with one TFL at Ball State (11-5). Intercepted a pass to stop Toledo's final possession and had one tackle against the Rockets (10-18). Charted five tackles with two solo versus Miami (OH) (10-11). Made two stops, including sharing a sack with Larry English, against Central Michigan (11-12). Collected three tackles, one for loss, against Indiana State (9-20). Made his collegiate debut at Minnesota (8-30) and notched his first career tackle at Western Michigan (9-6). 2007: Redshirted. High School: Named to the first team all-state squad as a senior. Two-time first team all-conference and all-area selection. Totaled 190 tackles, eight sacks, six forced fumbles, six pass deflections, and two blocked kicks in two-plus years on varsity. Also played running back and ran for 1,169 yards and 25 touchdowns with four touchdown catches. As a senior, ran 65 times for 487 yards and 12 scores. Led the Vikings to an 11-2 record in 2006, when he served as team captain. Member of the 2004 state semifinalist squad at Geneva and his team won Western Sun league titles in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
