2013: Started five of the seven games in which he appeared. Did not play versus Purdue (9-28), then missed five games from Oct. 19 (CMU) to Nov. 26 (WMU) due to a knee injury. Returned for the MAC Championship game vs. Bowling Green (12-6). Recorded 19 tackles on the season. Made a season-high six tackles in the SDCCU Poinsettia Bowl (12-26) and forced a fumble. Credited with four tackles at Iowa (8-31). Made two tackles against Eastern Illinois (9-21). Tallied three tackles, including a tackle for loss, and had a pass break up in a win over Akron (10-12). Posted four tackles, with a half tackle for loss, in the MAC Championship game versus Bowling Green (12-6).
2012: Appeared in 13 games and started four at cornerback. Made 24 stops and broke up seven passes. Member of the Huskies' defensive backfield rotation and played a prominent role on special teams. Had a season-high five tackles, including four solo stops, and two pass break ups against Kent State in the MAC Championship game (11-30). His seven pass break ups ranked third on the team. Returned an interception 31 yards in the regular season finale at Eastern Michigan (11-23) to earn Defensive Skill Player of the Week honors. Recorded two tackles, including a sack and 1.5 tackles for loss, in the season opener against Iowa at Soldier Field (9-1).
2011: Saw action in every game on special teams and as a reserve defensive back. Finished with 24 tackles, 17 solo, and five pass breakups. Made four tackles and broke up two passes in the GoDaddy.com Bowl versus Arkansas State (1-8). Broke up a Hail Mary pass against Eastern Michigan (11-25) to clinch a Huskie victory. Made three tackles against Ball State (11-15) to earn the Defensive Skill Player of the Week Award. Registered four tackles and a pass breakup at Bowling Green (11-8). Posted four tackles and knocked down a pass against Western Michigan (10-15). Recorded a career-high six tackles at Kansas (9-10). Tallied two solo stops with a tackle for loss versus Army (9-3).
2010: Saw action versus Buffalo (10-16), Central Michigan (10-23) and Eastern Michigan (11-26). Named the Huskies' work team player of the week for the Illinois (9-18) game.
High School: A first team all-area and all-conference defensive back in 2008. Recorded 39 tackles, 29 solo. Added three pass break ups, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one blocked punt. Selected for the Pensacola Sports Association East-West Game in 2008. Helped his team to a 10-2 record, conference and district championships, and the region 4A title game. Also played receiver, totaling eight catches for 120 yards and a touchdown as a senior. As a junior, tallied 25 tackles, and added two pass deflections and an interception. Also forced and recovered one fumble.
