2008: Started the first three games of the season and appeared in 11 contests. Also played on the PAT/FG team. The line did not allow a sack in seven of the Huskies' 13 games as NIU averaged 335.1 yards of total offense per game. NIU totaled 22 rushing touchdowns and 13 passing TDs on the year. Huskies put up 339 yards of total offense against Louisiana Tech (12-28) in the Independence Bowl. Assisted the Huskies in time of possession, as the team held the ball for an average of 31:58 per game. 2007: Appeared in 11 games at guard for the Huskies, missing only the SIU contest. Entered the starting line-up at left guard in the Central Michigan (9-29) game and remained there for the rest of the season. Graded out at 70.5 percent for the year. Registered a season-high mark of 78 percent at Toledo (10-27). Recorded a 77 percent rating in NIU's win over Kent State (11-10). Earned a grade of over 70 percent in five contests (Central Michigan, Temple, Toledo, Kent State, Navy). Solidified the offensive line and helped Justin Anderson post the ninth-straight 1,000-yard rushing season by a Huskie tailback. NIU quarterbacks were sacked just 21 times on 399 passing attempts. 2006: Played in eight games as a reserve on the offensive line. Made collegiate debut at Ohio State (9-2). Saw time against Indiana State (9-23). Played in four consecutive games at Western Michigan (10-14), vs. Temple (10-21), at Iowa (9-28), and against Toledo (11-7). Appeared in regular season finale at Eastern Michigan (11-24) and vs. TCU in the Poinsettia Bowl (12-19). 2005: Redshirted.
High School: Named team captain and offensive line award recipient, first team All-Rock Valley Conference at offensive tackle and defensive tackle, first team Beloit Daily News All-Area, first team Wisconsin State Journal All-Area, second team Milwaukee Journal Sentinel All-State, second team Associated Press All-State, and first team Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-State as a senior. Credited with 65 tackles, four sacks, four deflections, and two blocked kicks on defense for 9-4 state Division 4 semifinalist during his senior year. Selected for WFCA Shrine Bowl following his senior campaign. First team All-RVC and first team Beloit Daily News All-Area on 11-3 conference champion and state runner-up squad as a junior. Earned three letters in football, basketball, and track. Team basketball MVP and honorable mention all-conference as a junior. Honor Roll student. Personal: Born Feb. 1, 1987 in Monroe, Wis.
