2011: Saw action in six games during the season on special teams and at tailback. Named NIU's Offensive Work Team Player of the Year by the Huskie coaching staff. Played on the kickoff team and recorded two carries for seven yards at running back. Gained five yards against Kent State (10-8) on his first career attempt. Carried the ball once for two yards at Bowling Green (11-8). Named Offensive Work Team Player of the Week versus Central Michigan (10-1). Took Defensive Work Team Player of the Week honors against Buffalo (10-22) and Bowling Green (11-8).

2010: Redshirted his first season at NIU.

High School: Won three varsity letters as a running back at Ross High School in Fremont, Ohio. Earned third-team All-Ohio honors as a senior when he was also an all-region choice. Gained 930 yards in seven games as a senior, when he also served as team captain. Two-time all-conference honoree following his junior and senior seasons and was named team MVP as a junior after rushing for 1,330 yards and scoring 17 touchdowns in nine games. His team posted an 8-3 record his sophomore season and won seven of 10 games his junior year.
