Played offensive tackle and racked up 20 tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles and one blocked field goal as defensive tackle during his senior campaign. Entered his final prep season with three-star ranking by Rivals.com in its Midwest Top 150 and was cited on preseason Area Top 100 Players and Catholic League Blue Top Five Players listings by Chicago Sun-Times. Listed as one of the Area Top 100 Players, Area Top 20 Recruits, and league Player to Watch by Chicago Tribune. Earned honorable mention Catholic League All-White Division honors on 10-2 league champion and Class 5A playoff quarterfinalist while playing offensive guard as a junior.
