2012: Played in 13 games as a reserve tight end. Started the Army (9-15), Central Michigan (9-29) and Western Michigan (10-27) games. Caught two passes for nine yards. Hauled in a leaping, one-handed touchdown from two yards out at Army (9-15). Grabbed a seven-yard reception versus Central Michigan (9-29).
2011: Saw action in 12 games. Caught his first career pass for a seven-yard touchdown against Cal Poly (9-24). Earned his first career start against Kent State (10-8). Also started at tight end the following week against Western Michigan (10-15). One of the tallest players on the NIU team.
Previous School: Redshirted the 2010 season at the University of Nebraska Omaha. Transferred to NIU after UNO dropped its football program.
High School: Three-time varsity letter winner for football and four-time letterman in hockey and lacrosse. Earned all-state honors for both hockey and lacrosse in each of his last three years at Millard North High School.
Personal: Born Sept. 18, 1991 in Omaha, Neb. Son of Doug and Karen Semisch. Majoring in organizational/corporate communication. Admires Muhammad Ali.
