2005: Finished No. 2 in Northern Illinois QB hurries-pressures (17), No. 3 in team QB sacks (three for 13 yards), No. 4 in tackles for loss (four for 10 yards), and No. 10 in overall stops (55). Earned third letter and 11 starts at LE with 779 overall snaps (102 on special teams) in 12 appearances. Recorded career-high seven hits three times ---(1) vs. Northwestern (9-10-05), (2) vs. Eastern Michigan (10-15-05), and (3) vs. Ball State (10-29-05). Prep: Recruited by Illinois, Minnesota, and South Carolina. Named team captain, offensive MVP, and overall MVP, First-Team All-SICA Gray Conference, Honorable Mention Daily Southtown All-Area, First-Team Star Newspapers All-Area, preseason Chicago Tribune loop Players to Watch, Chicago Sun-Times Area Top 100 Prospects, Special Mention Champaign News-Gazette All-State, and First-Team IHSFCA Class 8A All-State on 6-4 state playoff qualifier as a senior for coach Andre Collins. Ran for 1,110 yards and school-record 17 TDs on 198 carries (5.6 ypc.) at RB, plus accumulated 98 tackles, four QB sacks, and two fumble-cause hits at LB (2001). Rushed for 575 yards and five TDs on 5-4 eleven as a junior. Lettered in football (3) and track (2). Competed as weightman on IHSA Class AA (Large Schools) state title track team (5-18-02). Placed second in Sectional shot put with 51-10 throw (5-18-02) and qualified for state with 52-5 toss. Won SICA Gray shot put crown as a junior. Set school power clean weightlifting record (300 pounds).
