2013: Played in three games and recorded three tackles as a senior. Had two tackles in the game at Idaho (9-14). Made one solo stop at Central Michigan (10-19).

2012: Recorded six tackles in seven games on the year. Set a career-high with four tackles at Eastern Michigan (11-23). Posted a solo tackle and a forced fumble against Buffalo (10-13). Made one solo stop versus UMass (11-3).

2011: Played in two games before missing the remainder of the season with a bicep injury. Made two tackles against Wisconsin (9-17) at Soldier Field. Grabbed his first career interception on a batted pass in the fourth quarter versus his home state school. Notched his lone solo tackle of the season against Cal Poly (9-24).

2010: Played in six games on the interior defensive line as a redshirt freshman. Saw his first collegiate action at home versus North Dakota (9-11) and recorded a three-yard tackle for loss for his only tackle of the year. Also played in home games versus Buffalo (10-16), Central Michigan (10-23) and Toledo (11-9) and on the road at Akron (10-2) and Ball State (11-20).

2009: Redshirted.

High School: Earned first team all-state honors from the Associated Press, Eau Claire Leader and the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association. Shrine Bowl participant served as team captain and was elected team MVP as a senior. Two-time WFCA All-Northwest first team and three-time first team all-conference selection. Saw action on both sides of the line and at fullback. Recorded 66 tackles, 16 sacks, caused eight fumbles, recovered seven and blocked two kicks as a senior. Ran the ball 20 times for 150 yards and scored twice. Twelve-time letterwinner in football, wrestling and track. As a wrestler, was a three-time state placewinner at 285 pounds with 106 career pins and a 152-21 record. Also on the mat, was a two-time Greco-All American and Greco National placewinner, and holds the fastest pin in Wisconsin at four seconds. As a track and field athlete, qualified twice for the state championships in the shot put and once in the discus.

Personal: Born March 28, 1991 in Maplewood, Minn. Son of John and Cheryl McMahon. Majoring in communications. Spends time coaching children's wrestling and as a referee. Admires Reggie White and Dan Gable.
