High School: Two-time all-Chicago Catholic League honoree at St. Ignatius Prep in Chicago. Led the St. Ignatius to their first conference championship in 50 years in 2012. Posted 48 tackles, 10 pass breakups, five blocked kicks and three fumble recoveries as a senior with the Wolfpack. Rushed 18 times for 230 yards and two touchdowns in 2012 - his first and only season on offense. Also caught two passes for 25 yards in the 2012 campaign. Posted 30 tackles as a junior, along with six pass breakups and a fumble recovery. Recorded 15 tackles and three pass breakups as a sophomore. Standout on St. Ignatius' track & field team who led the team to its first-ever conference title in 2012. Holds the school record in the 4x200 relay. Named to the school's honor roll for three years. Attended the same high school as ESPN commentator Michael Wilbon.
Personal: Born Dec. 2, 1994, in Chicago, Ill. Son of Zebedee McLaurin and Joy Rocher. Wants to major in kinesiology or business. Volunteers with the Hyde Park Food Pantry. Enjoys driving and drawing cars, writing poetry and dancing.
