***NIU's Jordan Lynch set the NCAA record for most rushing yards by a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) quarterback in a game with 316 yards on 32 carries. He averaged 9.9 yards per carry, scored touchdowns on runs of five, one and three yards. Lynch gained 232 yards on 18 carries in the second half, with three runs of 40 or more yards in the half. He had a long run of 49 yards.

***Lynch broke the NCAA record previously held by Northern Illinois quarterback Stacey Robinson, who ran for 308 yards vs. No. 24 Fresno State in a 73-18 NIU win on Oct. 6, 1990.

***Lynch's 316 yards rank fourth on the NIU single game rushing list and are the most by a Huskie since Garrett Wolfe set the record with 353 yards versus Ball State on Sept. 30, 2006.

***Lynch totaled 471 yards of total offense, the fourth-highest total in NIU history, with 155 passing yards on 20-of-30 completions and one touchdown, added to his 316 on the ground.

***Jordan Lynch threw a touchdown pass in his 20th straight game with a first quarter toss to Tommylee Lewis.

***Jordan Lynch went over 100 yards rushing for the third time this season and 17th time in his career. His 17 career 100-yard rushing games lead all active players. Lynch's 100-yard game is his first in four games, since the Eastern Illinois contest (Sept. 21).

***Lynch tied his career high for rushing touchdowns in a game with three and scored three rushing TDs for the first time since the 2012 MAC Championship game (vs. Kent State).

***Jordan Lynch had a rushing and a passing touchdown in the same game for the 13th time in his career and fourth time this year.

***Lynch now has 932 yards rushing on 138 carries on the season for an average of 6.75 yards per carry with seven rushing touchdowns.

***The Huskies extended their winning streak over Mid-American Conference teams to 20 games, the longest conference winning streak in the country. CMU was the last MAC team to defeat NIU (on Oct. 1, 2011 in Mt. Pleasant).

 

 

***NIU won its 13th consecutive road game, the second-longest streak in the country.

***NIU now has won 19 of its last 20 games.

***NIU won at Central Michigan for the first time since 2005. The Huskies had lost its previous three games in Mt. Pleasant.

***Northern Illinois forced a turnover for the seventh consecutive game when Jhony Faustin intercepted a Chippewa pass in the second quarter. Faustin's interception was his first of the season, and the second by an NIU cornerback this season. Faustin has three career INTs.

***For the second straight week, Northern Illinois' defense had its best day in terms of yardage, holding CMU to just 346 yards, the lowest total by an opponent this season. CMU's 75 rushing yards were the fewest by an NIU opponent since the 2012 MAC Championship game when Kent State had just 70 yards on 42 carries. The NIU defense held the Chippewas to just three points and 97 yards of total offense in the second half.

***Tommylee Lewis' 10 catches today is a career high for the junior as well as the single game high by a Huskie receiver this year. Freshman Aregeros Turner caught a career high four passes for 33 yards. Juwan Brescacin's four receptions tied his career high.

***NIU's 437 team rushing yards is the 10th highest total in team history. NIU had 454 rushing yards versus Kent State earlier this season. The Huskies averaged 8.2 yards per rush.

***True freshman Draco Smith played in his first game as a Huskie. The Mt. Carmel HS (Chicago) product had one carry for five yards.

***For the fourth game (in six) this season, NIU's opponent scored first.
