***Tommy Davis returned the opening kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown for Northern Illinois. Davis scored the first kickoff return touchdown for NIU since Aug. 29, 2002 when Michael Turner scored on a 93-yard return versus Wake Forest.

***DeMarcus Grady threw a pair of touchdown passes to Landon Cox for his first two scoring tosses of the season. Grady connected with Cox on touchdown passes of 30 and 31 yards as Cox became the first NIU receiver to catch two scoring passes this season. Cox' two scores marked the first time a Huskie player recorded two receiving scores in a game since Marcus Perez versus Toledo in 2008.

***On his first touch of the night, Chad Spann ran 65 yards for a touchdown to record the longest rush of his career and his 14th rushing score, 15th overall touchdown, of the season.

***On his second touch of the night, Spann ran 79 yards for a score to establish a NEW career long rush and earn his 15th rushing score of the year, 16th overall.

***Spann moved up to eighth on the NIU charts for career rushing touchdowns with his 22nd and 23rd, surpassing Marshall Taylor (22).

***Spann went over the 100-yard mark for the third consecutive game and the fourth time of the year. He has rushed for over 100 yards in four of NIU's last five games.

***NIU's Garrett Barnas earned the first interception of his career and first for the Huskies since the Toledo game. It was the seventh interception of the season for Northern Illinois, who surpassed their 2008 season total.

***Spann finished the game with 174 yards on just 11 carries, the top game of his career and the most by an NIU running back since Garrett Wolfe went for 203 yards versus Central Michigan on Nov. 17, 2006.

***For the second straight game, Northern Illinois had two players rush for 100 yards as DeMarcus Grady ran for 104 yards on 10 carries. Grady and Spann also each gained 100 yards on the ground a week ago.

***NIU's 37 first-half points tied for the seventh-most ever by the Huskies in a half and ties for the fourth-highest total by Northern Illinois in a MAC game. It is the most points in a half for NIU since Sept. 23, 2006 when the Huskies scored 38 first-half points.

***The Huskies' 50 points ties for the fourth-most by Northern Illinois in a Mid-American Conference game and is the first time NIU has scored 50 or more points since Oct. 23, 2004 versus Western Michigan (59-38 win).

***Quarterback DeMarcus Grady notched his longest career run with a 61-yard scamper.

***Kicker Mike Salerno booted three field goals and has 15 for the year, 33 for his career. He moved up to fifth on the NIU career chart for field goals made. With 14 points, Salerno moved up to fifth on NIU's all-time list for career points kicking and now has 161.

***Northern Illinois totaled 537 yards of total offense, 11th most in Huskie history. The last time NIU went for over 500 yards of offense was Nov. 10, 2007 against Kent State.

***The NIU rushing attacked racked up 418 yards on the ground. The performance is the 16th 400-yard rushing game in Northern Illinois history, tying for the 11th on the list of all-time best team running performances. The Huskies' most recent 400-yard rushing game was against Eastern Michigan Nov. 20, 2004, when the team ran for 408 yards.
