Recap |  Final Stats

***Chad Spann scored his 19th rushing touchdown of the season (and 20th overall) to tie the Northern Illinois single season record for rushing scores. Spann tied the record owned by Stacey Robinson (1989 and 1990) and Michael Turner (2002). He also moved up to tie Turner for second on the Huskies' list for single season touchdowns with 20, trailing only Garrett Wolfe's 21 in 2004. Spann's 120 points on the year are also tied for second in a single season.

***Junior Panan Tense made his first career start Friday in place of injured tackle Adam Kiel. Tense got the start at right tackle.

***Mike Salerno's 30-yard field goal was his eighth straight and 10th in his last 11 tries. Salerno has tried at least one field goal in each of the Huskies' 12 games on the year. He made his 18th field goal of the season which ties for the fourth-most in a season at NIU, and ties his 2008 season total.

***Salerno took sole possession of fifth place on the Huskies' list for career PATs made and career PAT attempts with 73 and 75, respectively after going 4-for-4 on PATs in the game.

***Patrick George picked off his second pass of the season (third of his career) in the fourth quarter and returned it 80 yards to tie for the fifth-longest interception return in Northern Illinois history. The INT return score was the second for the Huskie defense this season (Jake Coffman, 79 yards vs. Western Michigan) on NIU's eighth pick-off of the season.

***Tommy Davis moved up to sixth on the Huskies' single season list for kickoff return yards with a 28-yard return Friday. Davis has 574 yards on 24 returns on the year.

***Martel Moore reached his career high in receiving yards with 61 yards on three catches in the game. Moore's previous high for receiving yards was 36 (versus Western Illinois). The three catches tied his career best game.

***Landon Cox caught his fourth touchdown pass of the season, and the fifth of his career, in the second quarter. The 32-yard touchdown reception was Cox's longest score of the year. The junior leads the Huskies in receiving on the year with 44 catches for 528 yards.

*** Senior defensive end Brandon Bice recorded the Huskies' lone sack of the game to give him five on the season and 14 for his career. His 14 career sacks are tied for the seventh-most in NIU history.

***The Huskie defense had an opposing player go over the 100-yard mark in rushing yards for the first time in six games, since Toledo's DaJaune Collins ran for 139 yards on 16 carries in the Rockets' 20-19 victory. The only other runner to go over the 100-yard mark versus the Huskies this season was Idaho's De'Maundray Woolridge who totaled 143 yards on 19 attempts.

***NIU turned the ball over a season-high three times in the game.

***CMU's 257 rushing yards was the most given up this season by Northern Illinois, topping the 207 gained by Idaho. Central Michigan also had the most total yards - 512 - since Ball State tallied 529 a year ago in their win over the Huskies.

***Marcus Lewis caught a touchdown pass for the third straight game (the first three of his career) and caught six passes for 40 yards on the day. Lewis' six catches were a career high.

***The Huskies finished the regular season with seven wins for the first time since 2006 when they finished the regular season with a 7-5 record en route to the Poinsettia Bowl.
