***Today’s loss broke the Huskies’ 12-game winnings streak, which tied the school record, and was the Huskies’ first loss to a MAC opponent in 26 games (NIU had won 25 straight games versus MAC opponents dating back to Oct. 1, 2011, at Central Michigan).
***NIU’s record in MAC Championship games falls to 2-3 with the loss.
***With three touchdowns today (two rushing, one passing), Jordan Lynch has been responsible for a school-record 46 on the season (22 rushing, 23 passing, 1 receiving), breaking the NIU record he set a year ago. Lynch recorded his eighth consecutive game with a rushing touchdown and has had multiple rushing scores in five straight games.
***The Huskies’ opponents have scored first in every previous MAC Championship game NIU has played and in five of 12 games this season.

***The 47 points allowed by the Huskies was the most allowed by an NIU defense since Northern Illinois’ last MAC loss at Central Michigan October 1, 2011, when they surrendered 48.
