Why did you decide to come to NIU?
NIU was close and I already knew some people who went here. I knew it would be easier for my family to come and support me at my games.

What do you enjoy the most about being an athlete at NIU?
I think the best part is traveling to other places, meeting people, and most importantly building a brotherhood with your teammates.

What is the hardest part of being a student athlete?
Managing your time is difficult, because being a student-athlete is really time-consuming. You have to be organized otherwise you are going to miss something.

If you could accomplish just one thing while at NIU, what would it be and why?
Winning a MAC Championship. I think we can do it this year, and we are going to do it this year.

How do you prepare for a big contest?
I really don't have a routine except I like to talk to my older brother before the game. He will put a couple words in my ear and tell me what I have to do.

What is the best advice you have received from one of your coaches?
Work hard. They tell me all the time to work hard and that I could be really good if I work at it. Don't be happy with being on scholarship, continue to work hard and the sky is the limit.

Who is your favorite all-time NFL player?
Rodney Harrison, my mother's god-brother.

What is your favorite meal?
My mother's homemade dressing. I miss all of my mother's cooking.

What actor would play you in a movie about your life?
Omar Epps. My little sister always says I look like him.

What music would we find in your iPod?
I listen to Jay-Z and Beanie Siegel

What is your favorite class?
My favorite class of all-time would be the Calculus class I took last spring. This semester I really like my Criminology class.

What is the talent you'd most like to have?
I have always wanted to play the piano. Every time I see a piano I try to play it, but it sounds horrible. I remember my cousin taught me this one little Dr. Dre song, but I forget how to play it now. I would also like to be able to sing. My mom used to tell me I could sing when I was little, but everybody else told me I was horrible.

Work hard, focus, determination, and just know that you can do whatever you put your mind to.
