DeKALB, Ill. - Northern Illinois Athletics is now accepting orders for game tickets and Huskie Fan Bus Packages for NIU's 2010 football road trips to Ames, Iowa, Champaign, Ill., and Minneapolis, Minn. as the Huskies will take on Iowa State, Illinois and Minnesota in non-conference action this September.
NIU has a limited number of tickets to the Sept. 18 game at Illinois and will fill ticket orders based on Huskie Athletic Support Fund Loyalty Points. Northern Illinois season ticket holders and HASF donors have been mailed an order form for the Illinois game, which includes their current Loyalty Point totals. Order forms for all three games are available through the HASF Office in the Convocation Center, by calling 815-753-1923, or online at www.NIUHuskies.com. Through these forms, fans can order tickets only or can sign up for the entire Huskie Fan Bus Package, which includes round trip transportation and a game ticket. For the Illinois and Minnesota games, a ticket to the HASF/Alumni Association Tailgate is also a part of the package.
The deadline to turn in an order form for the NIU-Illinois game is Friday, July 2, while the order deadline for the Iowa State and Minnesota fan packages is Friday, July 30. Due to the limited amount of Illinois game tickets that NIU has received, Huskie football season ticket holders can request as many tickets to that contest as they have 2010 season tickets, while individuals who are Huskie Athletic Support Fund members only can make an initial request for two (2) Illinois game tickets. Northern Illinois will contact everyone who has requested Illinois tickets through the Huskies by July 16 to let them know whether their request has been granted.
One way fans can immediately increase their Loyalty Point total is to renew their donation to the HASF for 2010-11. For more information about the HASF Loyalty Point system, or to check your current total, contact the Huskie Athletic Support Fund Office at 815-753-1923.
Information on tickets and transportation to select road games, including Illinois, for Northern Illinois students will be available at a later date.
NIU anticipates less demand for tickets to the Iowa State and Minnesota games, which will be played on Thurs., Sept. 2 and Sat., Sept. 25, respectively. However, spaces on the bus for these one-day trips - which are reserved for season ticket holders and HASF members - will fill up quickly and individuals who wish to take advantage of these opportunities should submit their order forms before the July 30 deadline.
NIU is also taking ticket orders only for the Huskies' Mid-American Conference road games at Akron (Oct. 2), Western Michigan (Oct. 30), Ball State (Nov. 20) and Eastern Michigan (Nov. 26). Download the order form online on the Tickets page or on the HASF page of www.NIUHuskies.com.

Season tickets for all five of Northern Illinois 2010 home games are currently on sale. NIU season football tickets are one of the region's best values at just $85 for all five games. NIU faculty and staff, Varsity Club (former letterwinners), NIU Alumni Association members and senior citizens can purchase season tickets for only $74. The three-game mini-plan allows fans to choose any three 2010 games, including Homecoming, to get the same reserved seat for all three games for just $50. Tickets can be ordered online at www.NIUHuskies.com (click the "Tickets" link on the top of the page), on the phone at 815-752-6800 or in person at the NIU Convocation Center Ticket Office in DeKalb.
