DEKALB, Ill. – Northern Illinois University head coach Rod Carey, quarterback Jordan Lynch and safety Jimmie Ward will be participating in the Mid-American Conference’s 2013 Football Media Day and has you covered.
The 2012 MAC Football Media Day, which is held at Ford Field in Detroit, Mich., is Tuesday, July 23rd from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Central Time and will feature each of the league’s head coaches as well as selected student-athletes from the 13 football member institutions.

Northern Illinois’ Nov. 2 meeting at UMass on ESPN Regional/ESPN3 kicks off four straight appearances for the Huskies on the worldwide leader in sports. The Huskies will take on Ball State on either ESPN2 of ESPNU on Nov. 13 and will make two straight appearances on ESPN2 to close out November. The Huskies’ Nov. 20 clash at rival Toledo and the home finale Nov. 26 against Western Michigan will air on The Deuce.
The Huskies enter the 2013 season looking to top an impressive 2012 campaign. NIU won it’s second-straight MAC title and became the first MAC team to earn a BCS berth, facing Florida State in the 2013 Discover Orange Bowl.
