NIU Head Coach Rod Carey said he hopes a large group of students will make the short trek to Iowa to support the 2013 Huskies on Saturday.
"I think this is a great deal for the students," Carey said. "We know Iowa is going to be a hostile environment so the more Huskie fans we can get in the stands, the better for our team. I hope a lot of students take advantage of this and look forward to seeing everybody in Iowa City."
There are two ticket options for NIU students:
Discounted NIU student football tickets are $25, and the student is responsible for his or her own travel.
Discounted NIU student fan bus tickets are $35. The fan bus package includes:
o Coach bus travel to Kinnick Stadium and returning to DeKalb.
o One NIU student football game ticket.
Check-in for the student fan bus package will occur in lot C3 (North of the Convocation Center) at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31. Students will not be permitted to bring any liquids onto the bus, and bags will be searched. Buses will leave Kinnick Stadium immediately following the game and will make one stop on the way back to campus.
