Huskie Linebacker to Miss Additional Games
Nov. 11, 2011
DeKALB, Ill. - Northern Illinois linebacker Jamaal Bass will sit out two additional games, Northern Illinois Associate Vice-President and Director of Athletics Jeff Compher announced Friday. Bass, who did not play in the Huskies' win over Bowling Green last Tuesday following a pregame incident at Toledo involving the university's marching band on November 1, will miss the Huskies' upcoming contests versus Ball State (Nov. 15) and Eastern Michigan (Nov. 25). "After making the immediate determination to suspend Jamaal for the Bowling Green game, we received additional information and were able to conduct a more thorough review of the incident at Toledo," Compher said. "That review prompted us to take this action." -- NIU -
