NIU Football Greats Return to Huskie Stadium
Nov. 13, 2012 DEKALB, Ill. -Northern Illinois University is welcoming 13 former Huskies who went on to play in the National Football League to Huskie Stadium for Wednesday night's football game with Toledo. The 13 former Huskies are in town to celebrate the new NIU Executive Leadership Forum, comprised of prominent College of Business alumni. Scheduled to attend the game are:
Prior to the game, the former Huskie NFLers will appear at the President's Reception. Following the event, the former players and their guests will head over to Huskie Stadium for Northern Illinois' Mid-American Conference West Division showdown with the Rockets. The NIU-Toledo game will be televised nationally on ESPN2. Northern Illinois is 9-1 overall and has won nine straight games, 14 straight Mid-American Conference games and a nation-leading 20 consecutive home games. Northern Illinois will also honor 13 seniors - the winningest senior class in school history - prior to kickoff.
