DeKALB - Northern Illinois Athletics has made it easy for fans to travel to the 2010 International Bowl, featuring the Huskies against USF on January 2 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Fans can choose from two travel packages, so they can pick the bowl experience that is right for them. The first includes transportation from the Convocation Center in DeKalb or from Oakbrook, Ill. to Toronto, two nights (double occupancy) at the team hotel, a lower bowl ticket to the game in the NIU section, access to the HASF/Alumni Tailgate, an International Bowl t-shirt, and a special bowl gift for $428. The second package mirrors the first, but is designed for fans who will make their own way to Toronto. It does not include the bus trip, and is available for $245. With either package, the Huskie faithful can arrive and check-in to the official team hotel Dec. 31, in time to hit the town for Toronto's fantastic New Year's Eve celebration. On New Year's Day, fans will have time to visit some of Toronto's world-famous tourist attractions, and check out the International Bowl Battle of the Bands at Metro Square Hall. On gameday, Huskie fans will check out of their hotel and into the HASF/Alumni Pre-game Tailgate for food, fun and all the pregame festivities NIU Nation has come to expect leading up to kick-off. After the game, fans will return on an official NIU bus, where they can relax from another thrilling Huskie bowl experience. Fans can order either package online (see order forms above) or by calling the Huskie Athletics Scholarship Fund at (815) 753-1923. For more information on NIU's trip to the International Bowl, the game, purchasing tickets and fan packages, go to www.niuhuskies.com and click on "Bowl Central."
