How Do I Get There?

The HASF will be sponsoring a fan bus from DeKalb, picking up additional fans in Oakbrook, departing December 2nd and returning immediately after the game. Click HERE for a full itinerary and order form.
FOR NIU STUDENTS ONLY:
On Monday, November 28, 2011 beginning at 11:00 a.m. students can purchase a ticket package for the MAC championship game at SILD (Student Involvement & Leadership Development) on the first floor of the Campus Life Building, room 150.
Package deals for students are $10 and include a round trip charter bus trip to and from Detroit, Michigan, lunch, and a student game ticket. Buses will depart from the Convocation Center parking lot (C-3) on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 8:30 a.m. Student fan buses are for current NIU students only. You must present your valid NIU OneCard in order to obtain your ticket and/or purchase the package and board the bus. Cash or checks are accepted.

If you would like a student ticket but you are not interested in the student fan bus, you can still pick up your ticket at SILD or the Convocation Center ticket office.
Where should I stay?
The official team hotel is the Marriott Detroit at the Renaissance Center. The MAC has established a MAC/Fan rate of $109. Rates can be accessed by calling the hotel at 800-266-9432 and using the code "MAC" or by using the following link: https://resweb.passkey.com/go/alumnifan
How much are tickets and where can I purchase them?
Tickets are $20 per person and are available through the NIU ticket office at (815) 752-6800 or online HERE.

Where is the NIU section?
Fans who purchase tickets through the NIU Ticket Office will be located in sections 104, 105, 106, 107 or 108. Click HERE for a diagram of Ford Field.
How will actual ticket locations for NIU fans be determined/allocated?
Of the tickets given to NIU, the HASF loyalty point system will be used to determine how the tickets are allocated to Huskie fans. For more information about the loyalty point system, please click HERE. All orders received prior to noon on Wednesday, Nov. 30th will be included in the first round of allocations.
How may I pick-up tickets I purchase?
Due to the quick turnaround time with tickets, no tickets will be mailed. Tickets may be picked up at the team hotel, the Marriott Detroit at the Renaissance Center Dec. 2nd from noon to 4 PM. Following that, NIU's General and Player Guest Will Call will be open at Ford Field Dec. 2nd at Gate C starting at 5:30 PM.
What time do gates open to Ford Field?
Gates will open 90 minutes prior to kickoff.
Where do I park for the game?

A complimentary shuttle service is also being offered by the NIU Alumni Association from the Marriott Detroit at the Renaissance Center beginning at 4:00 PM and ending 6:00 PM. It will resume immediately following the conclusion of the game and run for one hour. Any fan wearing NIU gear will be allowed to ride the shuttle.

What items are prohibited in the stadium?
- Aerosol cans
- Backpacks, luggage, grocery & paper bags, duffle bags, large bags, large purses or large camera cases. All bags must be smaller than 81/2 X 14 X 10.
- Cameras with lenses longer than five inches
- Coolers of any kind, including small soft pack coolers
- Decals, stickers, confetti, or glitter
- Electronic equipment including laptop computers, video recorders, video cameras and tripods
- Food, beverages or liquids (cans, bottles or boxes)
- Illegal substances
- Laser pointers
- Markers (permanent) and/or paint
- Noisemaking devices (bells, horns, kazoos, whistles, etc...)
- Objects that can be used as missiles or projectiles (sticks, bats, clubs, Frisbees, etc...)
- Strollers and infant/car seats or carriers
What items are permitted after inspection:
- Cameras (must comply with the camera lens limit)
- Diaper bags (only if accompanied by a child)
- Small bags, purses, fanny packs, camera & binocular cases must comply with the maximum size for entry, 81/2" X 14"X10"
- Small radios (must be worn with an earpiece)
- Signs & Clothing must comply with standards of taste and decency; no profane or offensive messages. Signs must not block another guest's view.
Will the game be televised?
The game will be televised nationally on ESPN2.
What events are going on surrounding the MAC Championship?
The NIU Alumni Association will be sponsoring a pre-game tailgate from at Ford Field. Tickets to the tailgate are $30 per person. More information on the pre-game reception will be available soon MyNIU.com.
Where do I purchase official NIU MAC Championship gear?

The NIU Alumni Association will host watch parties around the country to give our alumni a chance to gather and root on their alma mater. All watch parties begin one hour prior to kick off. More information on the watch parties will be available soon at MyNIU.com.
