"Doeren Discovers" Winner Announced

Gates, who answered all six questions correctly, won the Soldier Field Showdown II prize pack which includes a parking pass, two pregame on-field passes and a chance to run out with the team decked out in free Huskie gear when NIU takes on the Badgers at Soldier Field Sept. 17. "Doeren Discovers" featured the summer exploits of new Huskies’ head football coach Dave Doeren as he explored the Chicagoland area through a series of adventures that ranged from singing the seventh inning stretch at Wrigley Field to skydiving. For six weeks, fans logged on to NIUHuskies.com, watched each week’s episode then answered the multiple choice question entering their name into a drawing for the Soldier Field II prize pack. Single-game tickets for NIU's Sept. 17 match-up versus Wisconsin at Chicago's Soldier Field are on sale through all Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.Ticketmaster.com and over the phone at 1-800-745-3000. In addition, tickets are now on sale for the 2011 Northern Illinois football season for just $99 for all six Huskie Stadium home games, beginning Sept. 3 when Army visits DeKalb for the first time.
