Animals: Animals are not permitted inside the stadium, with the exception of trained service animals for our fans with disabilities.

Alcohol: Alcoholic beverages or any container of any kind are not permitted inside the stadium.

ATM Machine: Located at Entrance 2 of the Convocation Center and on the west side of the stadium in Lot 31 near the ticket office.

Bags: No bags larger than 14" x 10" x 8.5" will be permitted inside Huskie Stadium.

Banners: Fans are welcome to display banners in the stadium during games provided the sign does not contain derogatory comments, profanity, impede another fan's view of the field, cause a disturbance among other fans or cover any Huskie Stadium signage. Flags and banners on poles or sticks are prohibited. NIU Game Operation Management reserves the right to remove any sign or banner from Huskie Stadium.

Cameras: Cameras ARE allowed inside of Huskie Stadium.

Concessions: The West Side concessions are located inside the lobby area. Two stands are near the middle ramps of gate 8/11, and at the top of the ramps outside gates 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18. The East Side has concession stands located inside the concourse.

From the West
From I-90: Exit onto State Route 20 East. From 20 East, take SR 47 South to SR 38. Take SR 38 West approximately 15 miles to DeKalb. Turn right onto Stadium Drive.

From I-88: Take Exit 92 - Annie Glidden Road and go north two miles. From Glidden Rd. take SR 38 (Lincoln Highway) west to athletic facilities. Turn right onto Stadium Drive.

From the East
From I-90: Exit onto SR 47 South. Take SR 38 West approximately 15 miles to DeKalb. From I-88: Take Exit 92 - Annie Glidden Road and go north two miles. From Glidden Rd. take SR 38 (Lincoln Highway) west to athletic facilities. Turn right onto Stadium Drive.

From the South
From I-39: Exit I-39 to I-88 East (toll) to Exit 92 - Annie Glidden Road and go north two miles. From Glidden Rd. Take SR 38 (Lincoln Highway) west to athletic facilities. Turn right onto Stadium Drive.

From SR 23: Travel north to SR 38 (intersection of 4th St. and Lincoln Highway in DeKalb). Turn left (West) on SR 38 and continue past the main entrance to campus, past Annie Glidden Rd. Turn right on Stadium Drive.

From the North

From I-39: Exit I-39 to I-88 East. Travel I-88 East (toll) to Exit 92 - Annie Glidden Road and go north two miles. From Glidden Rd. take SR 38 (Lincoln Highway) west to athletic facilities.

From SR 23: Travel south to SR 38, turn right (East) on SR 38 and continue past the main entrance to campus, past Annie Glidden Rd. to Stadium Drive.

Disabled Guests: Seating for disabled guests is located between the 40-yard lines in the east grandstands. A bleacher seat is available for those wishing to accompany the disabled guest. This area can be accessed through the marked entrances on the concourse.

First Aid: Basic first aid is provided on the west side in the Athletic Training Room within the large south lobby. The east side location is at Gate 31. NIU does not provide physician or medical services for spectators at intercollegiate athletic events.

Gate Openings: Gates are opened 90 minutes before kick-off. Items not permitted inside the stadium: Bags larger than 8" x 5" x 4" (except Village Common Bookstore bags with purchases, diaper bags with relevant items and baby present; medical accommodations, and stadium seats exempt from size requirement; all items subject to search), alcohol, drink, food, umbrellas, confetti, laster pointers, coolers, aerosol cans, pets, unlawful items or items deemed inappropriate by staff.

Guest Conduct: The NIU Athletic Department will provide a safe, comfortable and fan friendly environment for all fans. The following guidelines have been established for expected fan conduct. Failure to adhere to these standards may result in removal from Huskie Stadium.

 

  1. Fans wearing obscene or indecent clothing will not be permitted.
  2. Fans using foul or obscene language will be subject to ejection.
  3. Fans appearing intoxicated will be subject to ejection and turned over to the NIU Police Department.
  4. Fans displaying rowdy or inconsiderate behavior will be subject to ejection.
  5. Should you encounter any problems, please notify an usher, member of NIU Game Operations staff, or NIU Police Officer for immediate assistance.

 

Lost and Found: Articles found should be turned into the "Guest Relations Area" which is located outside the West Grandstand. After the day of the game, lost items will be moved to the Northern Illinois University Police Station, which can be reached at (815) 753-1212.

Parking

Programs: Programs can be purchased for $5 near each of the main entrances on the east and west side of the stadium.

Reentry: Reentry is granted only to those with a valid game ticket and a hand stamp. Patrons must receive a hand stamp before exiting Huskie Stadium in order to regain entry to the game.

Restrooms

Smoking Policy: No smoking is allowed inside the stadium.

Souvenirs: Tents are located outside the center of Huskie Stadium both on the east and west sides. Also, the Alumni Shop is located in the northwest corner of the main lobby of the Convocation Center.

Stadium Seatback: Stadium seatbacks are located near each of the main entrances on the west side of the stadium and can be rented for $5.

Telephones: There are no public phones available in Huskie Stadium.

Towing: Any vehicle that is improperly parked is subject to tow. Towing is done by the Northern Illinois University Police Department, which can be reached at (815) 753-1212.

Umbrellas: Umbrellas are not allowed inside of the stadium. Rain gear, such as ponchos, is allowed.
