BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - The Northern Illinois University men's golf team finds itself in second place after two rounds of the Oral Roberts Shootout at the Golf Club of Oklahoma.

The Huskies are 15 strokes behind the leader, Texas State, after shooting 299 in both rounds for a score of 598.

Max Hosking (Madison, Wis./La Follette) is the highest placing Huskie and in third place after a strong second round. Hosking improved 3 strokes in the second round and shot a 71. He sits 8 strokes behind the leader after compiling a score of 145 (74-71).

"Max had a great second round on a good, tough course," Head Coach John Cleary said, "The wind really picked up in the second round and conditions were a bit rough."

Andrew Frame (Manteno, Ill./Manteno) is tied for 13th place, tallying a 148 (75-73). Alex Wagner (St. Charles, Ill./East) posted a 152 (74-78) and is tied for 21st. Freshmen Adam Rosenthal (Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie) is one stroke behind Wagner after rounds of 76 and 77.

In his second tournament of the year, Greg Bauman (Crystal Lake, Ill./Central) posted an 82 in both rounds.

"We're in second place but a little behind," said Cleary, "We have to perform well and do something special to win tomorrow."

The Huskies will try to overtake first place starting tomorrow morning in the third and final round of the Oral Roberts Shootout.
