STEVINSON RANCH, Calif. - Zach Jecklin (Bloomington, Ill./Bloomington) leads all Huskies after the first two rounds of the Stevinson Ranch Invitational hosted by the University of Colorado. The senior posted rounds of 73 and 76 to finish the day at 149, eight strokes of the lead pace, and in a tie for 18th overall.

Andrew Frame (Manteno, Ill. / Manteno) tied Jecklin for the best Huskie round with a 73, rebounding after a first round 82 putting him in a tie for 45th with a two round score of 155.

Three Huskies recorded season low rounds in the second round of the tournament. Matt Triplett and Jeff Dick both recorded a 75 and Chad Koschmann fired an 81.

As a team the Huskies posted scores of 319 and 299 for a two-round total of 618, putting them in a 12th place tie with Drake.

"Zach played well in the morning," said head coach John Cleary. "It was cold and windy in the morning and this is a tough course. We played well as a whole in the afternoon as the conditions improved."

The final round will be played Tuesday morning.
