Volunteer Assistant Coach

Al Morawiecki joined the Northern Illinois men's soccer staff in the summer of 2009, and has made an immediate impact on the program.

"Al brings an appetite to do whatever he can for our program," Luzzi said. "He has a wonderful personality around the guys, who have taken to him very well."

Morawiecki spent the last two seasons at Concordia University St. Paul as the graduate assistant women's soccer coach. At Concordia, he was responsible for organizing and implementing training sessions, assisting with recruiting, and coordinating the team's academic affairs.

With extensive experience coaching at the club level, including as a state coach with the Minnesota Olympic Developmental Program, Morawiecki brings the work ethic and determination to help Northern Illinois reach the top of the Mid-American Conference.

Morawiecki graduated from Hamline University in 2006, where he played both soccer and hockey. He earned his master's degree from Concordia in May of 2009.
