Men's Tennis Ends ITA Run
Oct. 22, 2006
Minneapolis, Minn. - Northern Illinois's Brian Livingston dropped his Round of 32 match in the ITA Midwest Regional to Michigan State's Nick Rinks. Livingston lost to the 13th seeded Rinks 6-3, 6-4. "Brian played well. He didn't play well enough," head coach Pontus Hiort said. "Rinks has a very good serve. It was a bit difficult for [Brian] to get a rhythm. But he played well." Overall, Hiort said the team faired ok in the tournament. "We had some bright spots. But there are areas where we need to do better," Hiort said. "I think we did ok." The Huskies will be back in action on Jan. 27 at the University of Wisconsin. -NIU-
