Rockford, Ill. - The second semifinal of the Mid-American Conference Men's Tennis Tournament once again came down to the last match as Ball State's Shaun Bussert came-from-behind in the final set and earned the 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 victory at No. 5 singles over Toledo's Tyler Sonkin to help the Cardinals advance to the championship with the 4-3 victory over the Rockets at the Clock Tower Racquet Club on Friday afternoon.

Ball State (12-12) will face top-seeded Western Michigan (19-7) at 1 p.m. on Saturday (April 26) afternoon for the MAC Championship. Toledo finishes their season with a mark of 16-13.

Ball State got on the board first with a pair of victories in doubles action. BSU's Jose Perdomo and Jorge Rodriguez earned the 8-5 win over Chris Clark and Sven Burus at No. 1. The Cardinals received their other doubles' win from Shaun Bussert and Joe Vallee as they claimed the 8-3 victory over Tyler Sonkin and Wade Ward.

BSU's Eduardo Pavia claimed the 6-3, 6-4 win over Clark at No. 2 singles, while teammate Bret Berryman picked up the 6-4, 6-3 triumph over Burus at No. 3.
