Huskies and Bulls face off in final MAC dual of the year
2013-14:Registered a 21-16 record while starting the entire season at 157 pounds... Ranked second on the team by accounting for 39 dual points... Also notched the second-most pins and most among non-redshirts with six on the year... Finished second at the MSU Open on Nov. 9 with a 4-1 record, including a quarterfinal win over 2014 NCAA qualifier Johnny Greisheimer of Edinboro... Scored an 8-2 decision over Eastern Wrestling League champion Austin Matthews of Clarion Nov 16 at the EMU Duals... Earned a fifth-place finish at the Warren Williamson/Daktronics Open on Nov. 3 with a 5-2 record... Went 3-2 at the Midlands Championships, including pins of Maryland's Danny Orem and Illinois' Jake Gingerich in consecutive rounds in the wrestlebacks.
2012-2013: Recorded 18 wins in his freshman season at 157... Went 8-9 in dual matches... Opened his season with a third place finish at the EMU Open... Tied for fourth on the team with four pins... Placed second at the Kaufman-Brand Open (12/1)... Finished the year with a sixth place finish at the MAC Championships (3/10).
High School: Finished his career at Lowell High School with an undefeated season and state championship at 152 pounds... Ranked fifth in the nation at 152 by WIN Magazine and 95th nationally by InterMat... Took the Michigan state title at 145 pounds in 2011 after taking third as a freshman and second as a sophomore... Won the conference title at his weight class each of the first three seasons with the Red Arrows... Won three district and regional titles in three seasons... Named all-conference, all-area and all-state each of his first three seasons at LHS... Was team co-captain and co-MVP as a junior with twin brother Gabe... Member of the National Honor Society...
