2008-09: Finished third in the MAC Championships, winning three matches at the tournament ... longest winning streak of the season was three coming at the Pointer Opener ... defeated Trenton Washington of Northern Iowa at Midlands Championship ... earned six pins, four decisions, and two major decisions throughout the season ... won 12 matches as a red-shirt sophomore.
2007-08: Won the MAC Championship at 141 pounds after entering the tournament unseeded... stunned the MAC tournament crowd by defeating top-seeded Eric Kruger of Central Michigan by pin just 1:56 into the first round... bested defending champion Larry Lashaway of Kent State 8-6 to win the 141 title... earned two victories at the NCAA Championships, a 3-1 decision over Northern Iowa's C.J. Ettelson and a first period fall over Levi Jones... went 5-0 with three wins by fall at the Cyclone Open, including a first-period pin over Iowa State's 14th-ranked Nick Gallick, who had beaten him 8-2 two days prior... won eight consecutive matches from Nov. 24-March 8, but was injured and did not compete for much of that time... swept his matches at the Eastern Michigan Quad, taking dual wins over wrestlers from Eastern Michigan, Clarion and Gardner-Webb.
2006-07: Went 23-6 with 10 pins while wrestling at 141 and 149 pounds while redshirting the season... garnered first place finishes at the Pointer, "Flash" Flanagan, and Moco Mercer Opens... earned a fourth place finish in the 20-under division at the Kaufman/Brand Open... placed fifth at UNI Open at 141-pounds... won first collegiate match by pinning Mike Ryan of Harper College at the 2:37 mark.
High School: Won the Ohio state tournament in his freshman and senior years... helped lead team to AA Ohio State Tournament Championship during his freshman and senior years... named conference MVP as a senior, when he also finished third at NHSCA Senior Nationals... led his team in pins all four seasons... posted a career 149-10 record... holds Padua Franciscan records for career pins, wins, and state championships.
