11/03/2011 Huskie Wrestling Weight-by-Weight PreviewNIU boasts balance of experience, youth throughout lineup 2010-11: Finished the season with a 5-11 record while wrestling at 133...placed fifth at the Michigan State Open, defeating Ohio's Heath Allen in the fifth place match 11-4. 2009-10: Compiled an 8-15 record on the season with a 6-10 dual meet record... won one MAC dual match, a pin against Greg Egbert of Eastern Michigan... also has one other pin on the season, defeating Dustin Young of SIU Edwardsville on January 29... came in second place at 125 pounds in the season-opening Michigan State Open, going 3-1. 2008-09: Became first true freshman to record 20 wins since 1997-1998 season ... finished fifth in the Pointer Open ... took third in the Kaufman/Brand Open winning five matches ... finished in first-place at the "Flash" Flanagan Open, winning three matches... longest winning streak of the season was six ... finished the season with 21 wins and 11 decisions as a freshman.
