2008-09: Took first place at the Duhawk Open winning four matches ... finished third in the MAC Championships winning three matches ... defeated Northwestern's Kyle Bertin ... earned seven decisions, two pins and falls throughout the season ... longest win streak of the season was four... wrestled in both the 157 and 165 pound weight classes ... won 12 matches as a red shirt freshman. 2007-08 (Redshirt): Won all three matches at the "Flash" Flanagan Open to take first place. High School: Two-time Illinois state champion... won title at 130-pounds as a junior and 145-pounds his senior year... finished senior campaign with a perfect 35-0 record... runner-up at the NHSCA Junior National Championships in Pittsburgh during the spring of 2006... claimed conference, regional, and sectional titles as a senior while serving as team captain and earning the team award for most points... placed second in Interstate 8 Conference and finished as runner-up at regional, sectional and state meets during his sophomore season at 119 pounds... two-time Interstate 8 Academic All-Conference selection... won conference, regional and sectional titles and finished the season by placing fifth at state.
