DeKALB, Ill. - Northern Illinois wrestlers and wrestling coaches are providing technique and training sessions for athletes in third grade or older, from now through late May.

Northern Illinois Elite wrestling club, headed up by 12th-year Huskie head coach Dave Grant, takes place every Monday and Wednesday night from 6-7:30 p.m. though May 21, with a focus on freestyle wrestling. In each session, participants will learn college-level techniques both on and off the mat.

The Northern Illinois Elite coaching staff includes instructors with a combined 37 years of coaching experience, and from proper drilling instruction and live wrestling and conditioning, to match strategy, preparation and motivation, they share all their knowledge with Elite participants.

In addition to learning through the training sessions, there are tournaments every weekend that the Northern Illinois Elite staff encourages wrestlers to attend.

The cost is $175 per wrestler, with group rates available. To participate, all wrestlers must have a current USA Wrestling card, which may be purchased for $35.

Wrestlers can register at the door, or contact Mike Castillo at mcastillo@niu.edu or (815) 753-2915. For more information visit northernillinoiselite.com.
