2006-07: Came off the bench to play in 28 of 31 games for the Huskies, playing both point and shooting guard...Scoring 59 points in 194 minutes...Second on the team in three-point percentage (39.5 percent), hit 15 of her 38 attempts...Tied her career-high in points with 11 in NIU's loss to Ohio (1-23-07) and went 3-of-4 from the three-point line...Played a season-high 16 minutes in NIU's win over Chicago State (11-28-06)...Came up big in the Northern's quarterfinals win over Kent State (3-6-07) in the MAC Tournament with nine points off the bench...Shot 36.7 percent from the field and 72.7 percent from the free throw line...Earned Victory Scholar (3.50-4.00 GPA) status within NIU's Academic Excellence program.

2005-06: Provided a spark on the perimeter in limited time last season, scoring 22 points in 74 minutes of action over nine appearances. Hit 33 percent of her field goal attempts on the season. Averaged 1.4 rebounds with 13 boards in nine games. Grabbed 12 rebounds and played 68 of her 74 minutes versus MAC opponents. Contributed key baskets in overtime win over Buffalo (01-31-06), including hitting three-of-four from beyond the arc. Racked up 11 points, a career-high four rebounds, two assists and hit both free throw attempts in the game. Also one of four Huskies perfect from behind the line (4-4) on the season. Tallied the other 11 of her 22 points versus Eastern Michigan. Added a career high four rebounds in that game.

2004-05: Came off the bench in first five contests and started sixth game at Western Illinois (12-12-04) before suffering a season-ending knee injury in practice. Underwent ACL surgery on her left knee and earned a redshirt season. Finished with averages of 3.7 points-per-game and 1.8 rebounds. Against WIU's Westerwinds, tallied season highs for minutes played (28), free throws (2-for-2), rebounds (four) and points (eight). Also one of two contests in which she hit a pair of three-pointers. Final stats included 46.7 percent (7-of-15) overall shooting based on 42.9 touch (6-of-14) from behind the three-point arc. Earned Victory Scholar (3.50-4.00 gpa) status within NIU's Academic Excellence program.

Prep: Earned spots on five all-State units as a senior -- second team Champaign News-Gazette, third team Class AA (large schools) from Associated Press and the Chicago Sun-Times, fourth team Illinois Basketball Coaches Association, plus honorable mention Chicago Tribune. Played for Class AA South unit in IBCA's 2004 Summer All-Star Game. Captured Illinois High School Association's "Queen of the Hill" three-point shootout contest during 2004 championship weekend. Ended career ranking fifth in all-time IHSA record book for three-pointers with 276 treys and also rated seventh for free throws with 511. In addition, boasts IHSA record 39 consecutive free throws as part of stellar 89.3 percentage for senior year hitting 184-of-206 at the charity stripe. Final season under coach Gary Morrison saw her tally 32 points in last game to finish with 2,006 career points. Made a school-record 84 three-pointers as a senior for 20-9 Duchess squad which finished second in the North Central Illinois Conference. Senior year stat line reads as follows: 22.1 points, 45.3 percentage for field goals, 5.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists. Earned all-tourney recognition in DeKalb's Turkey Toss-up, Harlem Christmas and Dixon Holiday Classic. Ended prep career with 53 straight double-figure performances -- which rates as 12th-best streak in IHSA annals -- and 102 for her high school days. Named Dixon Telegraph Player of the Year for last two seasons and was a four-time All-NCIC honoree. Earned four letters apiece in basketball, volleyball and track. Graduated ninth in high school class academically and was a finalist for Illinois State Scholar recognition.

Personal: Daughter of Mike and Vickie Michels. Participated in former coach Carol Hammerle's Huskie summer camp as a junior high player. Played three seasons of AAU ball for Illinois Pacesetters. Is the first Huskie player to wear No. 31 jersey since two-time NIU Athletics Hall of Famer Carol Owens. Serves as an officer on Northern Illinois Student-Athlete Academic Council (SAAC) group.
