DeKALB, Ill. - As part of Northern Illinois Athletics' ongoing commitment to community engagement, the NIU Department of Athletics will be hosting “Breakfast with Bennett” on Wednesday, January 22 at Lincoln Inn, located in downtown DeKalb. The event will serve as an opportunity for fans to talk with Head Women’s Basketball Coach Kathi Bennett and other coaches at NIU over breakfast.
“This is a great way to engage with fans in the community,” said Head Coach Kathi Bennett, “it’s important to reach out, maintain and build these relationships so we can rally support for our basketball program. Lincoln Inn is a great spot to do all that so I hope fans bring their appetite and are ready to talk basketball.”
The inaugural breakfast, with more to follow throughout the rest of the academic year, will begin at 7:30 a.m. in the banquet room at Lincoln Inn (240 E Lincoln Hwy, DeKalb, IL 60115), with fans being able to mingle with Coach Bennett, basketball staff members and special guests from NIU Department of Athletics, followed up by a chalk talk presentation by Bennett.
The cost to attend the breakfast, paid to Lincoln Inn, is $10 with food, drink and wait service included. Space is limited to 42 people and is on a first come, first served basis.
