DeKALB, Ill. - The Northern Illinois women's basketball team will hold its annual Alumna Day celebration Saturday, February 22, when the Huskies host Central Michigan. Alumnae will get a chance to visit with Head Coach Kathi Bennett, players and other staff members, visit with other alums, partake in a pre game mixer and meal, and receive up to four tickets for $25.
While Saturday night's game will tipoff at 7 p.m., pre-game festivities will begin at 2:30 p.m., as alums are invited to watch walkthrough with the team and coaches at the Convocation Center, followed by a pre-game meal with the team at 3:30.
After a chalk talk by Coach Bennett at 4 p.m., a pre game mixer at Fatty's Pub & Grille -- where alumnae will receive one complimentary drink -- from 4:15-6 p.m. will give alums a chance to catch up with transportation to and from provided by NIU Athletics. The Sixth Man Grille at the Convocation Center will open at 6 p.m. with all alumnae invited to the event before the 7 p.m. tipoff
Finally, during halftime of the Huskies' bout with the Chippewas, all alums will be invited on the court for recognition in front of the fans on the Convocation Center floor.
