Huskies hope to continue past successes at MAC Championships
Fall 2015: The senior participated in all five tournaments of the fall season and averaged a 77.7 after 15 rounds of tournament play...Ellett helped NIU secure third place at the Cardinal Classic where she posted a season-low 221...shot a low of 72 strokes in round three of the Classic and had her best finish of the season with a tie for 10th. Also carded a score of 234 at the Diane Thomason Invitational and a 231 at the Redbird Invitational to help the Huskies take second place...Shot under 80 for all three rounds of The Preview with scores of 79-79-78 and helped the Huskies to a sixth place finish in the tournament.
2014-15: Golfed in all 11 tournaments, averaging an even 79.3 in 26 rounds of golf…Started the season off strong, tying for sixth at the Redbird Invitational, leading the way for the Huskies’ second-place finish with her score of 227 (78-73-76)…Finished tied for 17th in both the Diane Thomason Invitational and the stroke play round of the Hoosier Fall Invitational…Carded a 235 in both Louisville’s Cardinal Cup and the Cardinal Classic at Ball State to tie for 50th at both events…Won two of her three matches at the match play portion of the Hoosier Fall Invitational…Defeated two of her three opponents at the MAC Match Play in the first event of the spring season…Finished tied for ninth with a 153 (77-76) at the Islander Classic in Corpus Christi, Texas in the first stroke play event of the spring season…Shot a three-round 250 (91-80-79) at the MAC Championships, tying for 38th…Tied for 54th after shooting a 234 at the Rio Verde Invitational…Finished tied for 51st at the KC Shootout with a three-round 240 (83-76-81). 2013-14: Appeared in eight tournaments, averaging 79.1 strokes per round, third best on the team...Scored a 74 in the second round of the Redbird Invite which tied for her career-low...Shot a 163 (84-79) at the 2013 Preview to tie for 35th place...Shot a 228 over three rounds and finished tied for 16th to lead the Huskies at the Islander Classic in her best individual finish of the season...Her 228 (76-77-75) at the Islander Classic was her lowest three round score of her career and the eighth lowest score in school history...Led the Huskies and broke 80 in all three rounds at the MSU Invite (76-75-79) on her way to a tie for 25th place with a 230...Scored a 157 (81-76) at the Bradley Spring Invite and earned her second-best finish of the season, a tie for 17th...Shot a 162 across two rounds (79-83) at the Black Falcon Invite, which earned her a tie for 21st place, her third-best individual finish of the year.
2012-13:Competed in all 10 of NIU's tournaments during her freshman season ... Golfed her way to a season-best fifth-place finish at the Cardinal Classic by posting a total score of 153 strokes ... Started her collegiate career strong with a 156 stroke effort at the Green Bay Invite, good for a ninth place finish, in her Huskie debut ... Posted a fall-best 76 at the Cardinal Classic ... Rebounded from a 91 stroke first round performance at the Cougar Golf Classic to score 81 in the second round ... Opened the spring with her third top-20 performance at the Gary Freeman Invitational, scoring an 11th-place finish ... Shot a career-best 74 en route to a tie for 20th at the Lady Bison Classic ... Followed that performance up with a a tie for 10th at the IPFW Spring Classic ... Tied for 38th at Longaberger GC in her first MAC Championships appearance ... Finished second on the team with an 80.6 scoring average.
High School: Four-year varsity letterwinner ... Led Hampshire HS as a team captain in her junior and senior seasons ... Made three trips to the Illinois 2A state tournament, improving each time ... Finished 25th, 23rd, and 2nd at state in 2009, '10, and '11, respectively ... Four-time all-conference selection ... Named the Northwest Herald Player of the Year in 2009 and '11 ...
