WINTER SPRINGS, Fla.-The Northern Illinois University women's golf team is in ninth place after two rounds at the 33rd Annual Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational hosted by Rollins College.

Sophomore Kim Hunley (Aurora, Ill./West Aurora) led the way for the Huskies, tying for sixth after shooting a 227 after posting a final round 75. Abbie Many (Mt. Prospect, Ill./Prospect) slipped a spot, tying for 45th after shooting a 248. Jessica Parmenter (Peoria, Ill./Peoria Christian) finished in 49th shooting a 250, Ashley Lods (Monticello, Ind./Twin Lakes) took 53rd with a 253 and Devon Harteneck (Lake City, Minn/Lincoln) rounded out the Huskie finishers, taking 62nd after posting a 266.

"Kim Hunley had a great tournament," NIU head coach Pam Tyska said. "We were one shot out of eighth and nine shots out of We're getting a little closer to that 320 mark. We want to get as close as we can to that then beat it."

Rollins College won the tournament, finishing with a two-day total of 901. Laura Fourdraine of Rollins was the medalist shooting a 222. The Huskies are back on the links Thursday when NIU hosts the 22nd Annual Snowbird Invitational at Pebblecreek Country Club in Tampa, Fla.
