2007: Will see her first collegiate action as a junior after overcoming knee injuries. 2006: Continued to rehabilitate knee. 2005: Did not crack the NIU line-up as a freshman as she recovered from knee injuries. Prep: Competed at USA Gymnastics Level 10 in each of her last two years of high school while training at Kansas City Gymnastics. Qualified for the state meet all four years, twice at Level 9 and twice at Level 10. As a junior, recorded bests of 9.20 on the floor at the state meet and earned a 9.05 on beam at the USAG Regional competition in St. Paul, Minn. The previous season, went to nationals in South Dakota on beam and posted a 9.300 after carding a 9.400 on floor in the state competition. Personal: Majoring in public health. Born April 29, 1986 in Kansas City. Daughter of Debbie and Joe Brugnoni. Qualififed for the NIU Academic Excellence list with a grade point average above 3.0. |
