NIU Career Bests: Vault- 9.625, Beam- 9.100

2008: In her NIU debut season, participated in six meets for the Huskies, competing five times on vault and twice on beam. Started her career with a 9.575 on vault versus Western Michigan (1/27). Earned her NIU best mark with a 9.100 on beam versus Ball State (2/3). Recorded a career-high score of 9.625 on vault in a triangular-meet against Bowling Green and Eastern Michigan (3/14). Finished the season with four top 10 finishes while averaging 9.460 and 9.000 for the vault and beam, respectively.

2007: Did not compete while recovering from a medical issue.

Pre-NIU: As a gymnast at Michigan State in 2006, saw action in 12 meets on beam, 11 on vault, nine on floor and once on bars. Advanced to Central Regionals on vault, beam and floor. Tied for third at the Big Ten Championships (3/25) on beam with a score of 9.825. Set her career high score of 9.875 on beam versus Northern Illinois (3/5). Scored a 9.800 on beam at Michigan (3/17) and earned a score of 9.650 or better on that event six times for a season average of 9.413. Awarded with a career-best 9.800 on vault at the State of Michigan Classic (2/3) and averaged a 9.664 on vault for the season. Threw a 9.775 vault at Regionals (4/7), at Michigan and at NIU. Also carded a season best 9.775 on floor exercise versus NIU. Earned a 9.725 at Ball State on floor (2/10) and averaged a 9.650 on floor with seven scores above that mark. Competed in the all-around at N.C. State (3/3) when she totaled a career best 38.000.

Prep: Competed for the Energym Club Team in Sycamore, Ill. for 15 years. Qualified for Level 10 Nationals in 2001, finishing 13th in the all-around. Finished her club career with six regional titles and two state championships. Placed first on beam at regionals from 2001-03 and again in 2005. Illinois state champion on floor and vault and finished sixth in the all-around in 2003. That same year, won vault and beam titles at Region 5 competition. In 2005, captured all-around, bars and floor titles at Regionals and advanced to Nationals where she finished fifth on vault with a 9.6. Earned 2003 all-around title at GymQuarters Invitational in St. Louis with a score of 37.900. Was a high honors student for four years in high school.

Personal: Daughter of Ron and Angie Dicus of Rochelle, Ill. Born February 11, 1987 in Rochelle. Pursuing a bachelor's degree general studies. Her younger brother, Jon, is currently playing baseball at Kankakee Community College.
