2011: Began her Huskie career as a true freshman by competing as an all-arounder versus Kentucky and Illinois (1-8) where she compiled a score of 37.000 with a high score of 9.350 on vault. Injured on vault the next meet versus Eastern Michigan (1-16), returned to compete primarily as exhibition gymnast versus Kent State (2-20), Ball State (2-25) and UIC (3-1). Set a career high (exhibition) with a score of 9.700 in the uneven parallel bars versus UIC. Competed three times on balance beam in exhibition action in those meets and earned a season best of 9.475 in the UIC meet. Matched that score on vault (non-exhibition) in the same meet for her career best mark on that event.

Prep: Competed for her high school team and for American Academy of Gymnastics on club level. Won the Illinois state high school all-around title as a senior with a score of 38.275 after finishing second as a sophomore. Also won the state crown on the uneven parallel bars with a 9.65 routine and took second on both balance beam (9.575) and vault (9.75). Two weeks earlier, Gotlund won the sectional all-around competition with a 38.200 while scoring 9.65 on vault, 9.625 on floor exercise and 9.5 on uneven bars. Won the regional competition on bars with a 9.725 score and was second on vault (9.65) and beam (9.55) in that competition. Helped Warren Township to a third-place finish in the team competition at state as a sophomore. Was twice named Gymnast of the Year by the Pioneer Press, following her sophomore and senior seasons. Three-time all-conference and all-state gymnast. Her prep team won conference, regional and sectional titles her freshman season and took fifth place at the state meet. Skipped her junior season of high school competition in order to concentrate on her club competition. At the club level, was a four-time USA Gymnastics state and regional qualifier. Took second in the all-around and won the bars and beam competition at the 2010 National Senior Showcase Invitational. Helped her team to a second place finish.

Personal: Born Oct. 19, 1991 in Arlington Heights, Ill. to parents Gail and Ralph Gotlund. A pre-physical therapy major and Victory Scholar with a GPA above 3.5.
