NIU Career Bests: Vault - 9.625 (at UIC, 3-6-10); Beam - 9.725 (vs. Kent State, 2-22-09); Floor - 9.700 (Exh. at Kent State, 2-19-10).

2010: A three-event gymnast for the Huskies as a junior as she was in the NIU line-up on vault, balance beam and floor exercise for all but two meets on the season. Competed in all 11 meets on vault, in 10 meets on floor exercise and nine times on balance beam. Performed exhibition routines when not in the regular line-up. Tied her career high with a 9.625 on vault at Illinois-Chicago (3-6) and also scored a season-best 9.700 on balance beam and a 9.650 on floor exercise at UIC. Took third place on beam at that meet, and at dual meet versus Western Michigan (1-17) when she had a 9.675 on beam. Earned a 9.575 on vault and a 9.675 on beam at MAC Championships (3-27) for her second-highest scores of the season. Added a 9.650 on floor exercise at MACs. Scored 9.500 or higher five times and 9.450 or above on 10 vaults. Averaged 9.470 on vault for the season. Finished the season strong on beam with scores of 9.625 or higher in each of the last five meets (including one exhibition) and reached that mark six times on the year. For the season, averaged a 9.436 on balance beam. Came on strong late in the season on floor exercise. Scored a 9.500 or higher on floor in each of her last seven sets, including a season-best 9.700 versus Kent State (2-19) in exhibition action. Overall, scored 9.500 or higher on floor exercise eight times. Recorded a 9.675 on floor versus Central Michigan (2-28) and had a 9.575 on the event at the State of Illinois Classic (3-20). Averaged a 9.420 on floor exercise for the season.

2009: Competed in seven meets on vault and five on balance beam. Also saw action on an exhibition basis five times on floor, twice on vault and three times on balance beam. Placed fourth on beam against Kent State with a 9.725, her season and career best. Scored a 9.675 on the balance beam versus Central Michigan and had a 9.600 on the event at Minnesota. Also scored a season and career-high 9.600 on vault in official competition at Minnesota with a 9.625 score versus Eastern Michigan in an exhibition performance. Consistent scorer on vault with five tallies of 9.550 or higher and a 9.525 at State Championships. Finished season with averages of 9.540 and 9.490 on vault and beam, respectively. Top exhibition score on floor exercise came at Illinois-Chicago with a 9.575 and earned a 9.550 at Minnesota.

2008: Did not see action for the Huskies.

Prep: Trained at Energym Sports Campus in Sycamore, Ill., where she competed at Level 10 for one year. Her junior year, placed fourth in the all-around at USAG State competition, and was 13th at Nationals. In her senior year, recorded scores of 9.225 and 9.55 at Regional and State competitions, respectively. Member of the honor roll throughout all four years of high school.

Personal: Daughter of Jay and Patti Hurley of Geneva, Ill. Born Aug. 21, 1989 in Hoffman Estates, Ill. Pursuing a degree in nursing. Named a Huskie Scholar with a GPA above 3.0. Older sister, Ashley, was a senior on the NIU team in 2010.
