Northern Illinois defeated Ball State, 192.925-191.125, to earn its first Mid-American Conference win of the season.

2015: Started the season at UIC (1-9) with a ninth-place finish in the uneven parallel bars with a 9.550 and an exhibition score on the vault with a 9.275. For the next two events she only performed on bars with a 9.275 against Kent State (1-16) and a 9.600 against Lindenwood (1-23).
2014: Competed in 10 out of the 11 competitions on the uneven parallel bars and competed four times in the vault. Her best competition score in the uneven parallel bars came in the MAC Championships (3-22) where she put up a 9.700. Posted a 9.775 on bars as an exhibition competitor at the State of Illinois Classic (2-21). At Kent State (2-7) was the only competition where she competed in both the vault and uneven parallel bars in a non-exhibition format scoring 9.050 and 9.650 respectively. Her best vault score came at the Eagle Invitational (3-8) with a 9.600 followed by a 9.550 at Arizona State (3-14).
2013: In the Huskies' starting line-up on bars in 10 of 11 meets this year. Scored a season and career-high 9.775 at Western Michigan. Earned a top four finish on bars with a 9.675 vs. Eastern Michigan to tie for fourth. Scored a 9.700 at Central Michigan. Had five scores of 9.600 or above on bars this season. Huskie Scholar (3.0-3.5) in NIU's Academic Excellence Program; Named to the Academic All-State Team.
2012: Competed in all 12 meets on the uneven parallel bars as a freshman. Scored her career high of 9.750 against Bowling Green (2-11) to take third place. Competed as an exhibition gymnast versus Illinois-Chicago (1-8). Scored above a 9.500 in 10 events to average a 9.585 on the uneven parallel bars.
Prep: Trained at Energym in Sycamore, Ill. where she competed at Level 10 her junior and senior years. Recorded 27 top 10 finishes as a Level 10 gymnast. As a senior, won the all-around competition at the Illinois state meet with a personal best score of 37.000. Earned her career-high scores of 9.475 on uneven parallel bars and 9.400 on balance beam at the state meet to place fifth and fourth, respectively. Advanced to USAG Region 5 Championships and took 11th in the all-around with a 36.525. Was 10th on bars and 12th on vault at that meet.
Personal: Daughter of James and Kathleen Johnson of Elburn, Illinois. Born in Geneva, Ill. Plans to major in psychology and become a lawyer. Admires Olympic champion Nastia Liukin. Honored as a Huskie Scholar for achieving a GPA above 3.0.
