NIU Career Best:Bars - 9.750 (at State of Illinois Classic, 2-21-14)
2014: Competed in all 10 regular season meets on the uneven parallel bars, averaging a 9.545. Recorded a career-high 9.750 at the State of Illinois Classic (2-21). Led off the season with a 9.725 in the season opener at Nebraska (1-11). Scored a 9.700 at the Eagle Invitational (3-8) and a 9.650 at Kent State (2-7). Finished fifth against Ball State (1-24) with a 9.550.
2013: Did not see action in any meets as a true freshman.
Prep: Trained at Illinois Gymnastics Institute in Westmont, Ill., the past two years as a Level 10 gymnast. Won the uneven parallel bars with a career high of 9.425 at the 2012 Junior Olympics National Invitational Tournament where she finished sixth in the all-around with another career high of 37.150. Advanced to nationals after placing 11th in the all-around at the 2012 Region 5 Championships. Took the all-around title with a score of 35.650 at the 2012 IGI Chicago Style meet where she placed second on floor exercise, and on vault with a career high of 9.600. Placed in the top five in all events at the 2012 Midwest Open where she finished fourth all-around with a score of 36.225. Also competed at the 2011 JO NIT after finishing 10th in the all-around at the 2011 Region 5 Championships with an eighth-place finish on beam. Eighth in the state in the all-around at the 2011 Illinois State Meet after taking eighth on balance beam and floor exercise. Third all-around at the Sand Dollar /Whitlow Invitational and fifth at the IGI Chicago Style Meet in 2011. Recorded over 45 top 10 finishes, competed in four Regional Championships (two at Level 10) and advanced to the JO National Invitational twice.
Personal: Born Aug. 29 in Downers Grove, Ill. to parents Laura and Darrel Clark. Has career ambitions of becoming a speech pathologist. Admires Kerri Strug and Jake Peavey. Received the Outstanding Media/Communications Award as a senior for her work as a producer and host for the Waubonsie Valley High School TV show the "Warrior Update".
